Mrs. Addie Freeman died at her home, 30 Liberty Street, the morning of June 16, 1945, after suffering poor health for a year.

A native of Camden, she was born June 22, 1869, a daughter of John R. and Ellen Carleton. She was twice married, her first husband, Raymond W. Bentley passing away in 1901. On November 29, 1906, she was married to Judson Freeman. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and its Ladies’ Guild.

She leaves her husband; a son, Cpl. Carleton W. Bentley, U.S. Army; two daughters, Mrs. Millicent Fox, Rome, and Mrs. Frank Roberts, Syracuse; a granddaughter, Mrs. William Bitter, Syracuse; a great-granddaughter, Sandra Bitter, Syracuse; a brother, James Carleton, Camden; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Helmer, Mrs. Laura Whaley and Mrs. Susie Yorton, Camden, and Mrs. Merritt Babcock, McConnellsville.

Funeral services were held on Monday a 2 p.m. at the B.A. Sanborn & Son funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Frederic Bradley, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church. Burial was made in Forest Park Cemetery. Bearers were Adam Raymond, Merritt Babcock, John Freeman, Wesley Freeman, William Bitter and Kenneth Helmer.
