She was born May 5, 1887 in Camden, a daughter of the late John R. and Ella Carleton. On April 22, 1908, she was married to Adolph Hiltbrand, the Rev. George Ashley performing the ceremony. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Hillsboro Garden Club. Mr. Hiltbrand died Aug. 14, 1937.
Surviving are a son, Glen and his wife, Edith, Camden; six sisters, Mrs. Judson Freeman, Miss Flora Carleton, Mrs. Laura Whaley, Mrs. Sarah Helmer, Mrs. Tracy Yorton, Camden; Mrs. Merritt Babcock, McConnellsville; two brothers, Alonzo and James Carleton, Camden; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Alfred Martin, pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church, at the B. A. Sanborn & Son funeral home on Tuesday at 2 p. m. and interment will be made in Forest Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience.
