McConnellsville - Mrs. Merritt (Lula) Babcock, 81, Vienna Road, died Sunday. She was born Oct. 2, 1888, in Camden, daughter of John and Ellen Carleton Carleton.
She and Mr. Babcock were married July 22, 1914, in Camden. Mrs. Babcock was a graduate of the Camden Training Class and prior to her marriage taught school. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Camden.
Surviving besides her husband there are a son, Orin Babcock, Greenville, N.Y., and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Sanborn Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. Alden Pearson, rector of Trinity Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
