Bessie was the daughter of the late Joseph Leonard Fisher and Lonie Lewis Fisher. She was preceded in death by a son, Vura K. Foy, Jr.; a daughter, Geraldine Foy Lutterloah; four brothers, Eldridge Fisher, Clifton Fisher, Ray Fisher, and Hughdell Fisher; and one sister, Cecile Hall. Ms. Foy was a member of First Advent Christian Church where she was very involved in many church activities. She worked as a nurses aid at Davis Health Care for a number of years and also cared for many people in her home. She was also an avid gardener.
Surviving is one son, William Douglas Foy of Hampstead; one brother, Leonard Fisher of Jacksonville; five sisters, Blanche Rhodes, Myrtle Marshburn, and Vernell Campbell all of Jacksonville, Ruth Rhodes of Hampstead, and Marie Mullen of WV; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
