ACCIDENT SOUTH OF EL PASO ON RT 51 MONDAY; TWO OTHERS IN CRASH SLIGHTLY HURT
Clement Stack, 40, El Paso farmer, died at St Joseph's Hospital, Bloomington, at 1:02 a.m. Monday of injuries received about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when his car collided with another on state route 51, 2 1/2 miles south of El Paso. His brother, Donald who rode with him was only slightly injured.
Driver of the other car William Tipler, also of El Paso, a student at Illinois State Normal university, was given first aid at the Bloomington hospital and released. Police report said the Stack car was proceeding north and the Tipler car going south when the two met while passing a third car.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St Mary's Catholic Church with burial in ST Mary's Cemetery, El Paso. The Rev James A. Dollard officiated.
Mr. Stack was born nov 1, 1905, near El Paso, the eldest son of Martin and Catherine Cleary Stack. He had resided in that community all his life.
Surviving besides his parents are five brothers, Raymond of Peoria, Garnet, William, Donald and Edwin, all of El Paso; and three sisters, Miss Marguerite at home, Mrs. Marie Pankey, Oxford, Ohio; and Mrs. Kathryn Kimpler of Peoria.
