EL PASO - Edwin F. Stack, 77, of rural El Paso died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb 2, 1993 at St Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
He was born June 20, 1915 in Gridley to Martin A and Catherine Cleary Stack.
Surviving are two sisters, Marie Pankey of Des Moines, Wash., and Kathryn Kimpler of Peoria; 11 nieces and nepheews including Sandra Stozek of Wheaton and Terry Kimpler of Morton. Five brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
He was a farmer in the El Paso area. He also was treasurer of Secor Fire Department for 17 years and served on the board of directors of Secor Elevator for 17 years.
A World War II Army veteran. He was a member of El Paso veterans of Foreign Wars and Secor sportsman's Club, where he served as president for 13 years.
He also was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church of El Paso.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at his church. The Rev. Eugene Kane will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Froelich Memorial Home in El Paso. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to his church.
