EL PASO, IL - J. RAYMOND STACK, 79, of Peoria, and El Paso native and retired machinist, died at 12:52 a.m. Thursday (March, 16, 1989) at his home in Peoria.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St Bernard's Catholic Church, Peoria, the Rev. Thomas Miller officiating. A Graveside service will be at 12:15 p.m. Monday at St Mary's Cemetery, El Paso.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Wright & Salmon Morturary, Peoria, where the rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, and from 9:30 to 10 a. m. Monday at the church,

Mr. Stack was born May 18, 1909, a son of Martin and Catherine Cleary Stack. He married Dorothea C. Brockling on Feb 15, 1941, in Minonk. She died Oct. 23, 1975.

Survivors include one son, Thomas R.(Tammy) , Springfield; two daughters, Colette A (Terrance) Sink, Houston, TX; and Jeanne E (Gerald) Donahue, Morton, IL; one brother, Edwin, El Paso; two sisters, Kathryn Kimpler, Peoria, and Marie Pankey, Des Moines, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.

Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Stack was a machinist at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 37 years before retirning in 1972.

He was a member of St Bernard's Catholic Church, its Men's Club and the Catholic and Prostestant Dartball leagues.
