Mildred is survived by children, James (Dorothy) Soapes, Betty (Ned) Hafer, Jerry Soapes, Shirley (Carl) Bennet, Richard (Sharon) Soapes, Nancy (Jim) Swartz, and Barbara Soapes; 27 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Forest Dale Soapes, and two children, Mildred Marie and John Larry Soapes.
Mildred was an accomplished homemaker; her mind remained sharp, and she still enjoyed her crossword puzzles and chocolate until the end.
A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
*Millie was cremated. She has a headstone at Riverside Memorial Park, but her remains are not there.
