Frederick HIckey, 67, of Cooper Road, North Whitefield, died Monday morning at Gardiner General Hospital. He was born in North Whitefield, on March 8, 1912, the son of William J. and Margaret McGrath Hickey.
He retired eight years ago from the maintenance service division of Veterans Administration, Togus.
Mr. Hickey was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, North Whitefield, Knights of Columbus, North Whitefield, and was a World War II Army veteran, having served overseas.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Mooney Hickey of North Whitefield; two brothers, William J. Hickey of Gardiner and Maurice D. Hickey of Cumberland Center, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was said at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Denis Catholic Church, North Whitefield.
