PITTSTON --- Jerome A. Hickey, 72, died Monday morning in Augusta General Hospital.
He was born in Whitefield Jan. 27, 1902, the son of William J. and Margaret (McGrath) Hickey.
He was formerly of North Whitefield. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church of Whitefield and was an honorary member 0f Gov. Kavnaugh Knights of Columbus, North Whitefield.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Mooney) Hickey, Pittston; a foster daughter, Mrs. Rosemarie Crean, San Francisco, Calif.; five brothers, Joseph Hickey, Portland, John and Frederick, North Whitefield; William Hickey, Gardiner, and Maurice Hickey, Cumberland Center; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Thursday morning at 10 in St. Denis Catholic Church, North Whitefield.
HICKEY, Jerome A. --- died Monday. Friends may call at the Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral prayers will be said at the funeral home Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, North Whitefield.
