Wilma Arloa Kent-Ruhl
Funeral for Wilma Arloa Kent-Ruhl, a retired Portland-area secretary and bookkeeper, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Lents Baptist Church in Portland.
Mrs. Kent-Ruhl died Tuesday of a brain tumor in a Portland care center. She was 68.
Burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
Mrs. Kent-Ruhl was born Dec. 10, 1920, in Woodburn, and had lived in Southeast Portland since 1939 with her husband of 46 years, William J. Ruhl Sr.
In 1953, she began work at Oregon Rubber Mat Co. as a secretary. In 1970, she and her husband started Ruhl Bee Supply, which they owned and operated for 17 years before their retirement in 1986.
Mrs. Kent-Ruhl was a member of Lents Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 4362 in Scappoose.
Surviving are her husband, William of Portland, one daughter Kathleen, son William J, sisters, Bertha Crivella of Tillamook and Mae Brewer of Oregon City; brother, Robert Ray Kent of Hubbard; and five grandchildren.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Lents Baptist Church Mission Outreach.
