Anthony "Tony" Hoffman, 64, former Hays resident, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka. He was born Jan. 17, 1938, in Emmeram to Michael and Clara (Nemechek) Dinkel Hoffman.

He married Judy Pfeifer on Oct. 13, 1962, in Hays.

He was an electrician, former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and member of St. Joseph Council of the Knights of Columbus, both of Hays.

Survivors include three sons, Andy, Oklahoma City, and Gregg and John, both of Denver; a daughter, Rose Rawson, Fayetteville, Ga.; seven brothers, Mike, Garden City, Dan and Joe, both of Hays, Victor, Frank and Bob, all of Victoria, and Steve, Gorham; four sisters, Aggie Geier, Garden City, Maggie Dreiling, Denver, Rita Friess, Spearville, and Betty Flax, Dodge City; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Dinkel, and two sisters, Clemtine Dinkel and Helen Kreutzer.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, with Father Frank X. Grinko officiating; burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Emmeram. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine. There will be a sisters of St. Agnes prayer service at 4:30 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary, all Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the church or for Masses.
