Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 1, for Mrs. Cora Mullinex, 87, Hancock, at the Congregational church in Hancock, Rev. James Bilby, Hancock, officiating. Hamilton Funeral Home at Hancock handled the arrangements. Mrs. Jefferson Ashley was organist and Stanley Hamilton was soloist. Interment was made in the Big Flats Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leonard Sullivan, Carroll Gear, Milton Whitman, Harry Leach, Ed Foster and Garnet Eastman.
Mrs. (Holmes) Mullinex passed away Thursday evening, Nov, 28, at the Adams County Memorial Hospital, having been there a couple weeks.
The deceased was born in Coloma May 4, 1876, the daughter of Newton and Martha (Baker) Tennant. she was united in marriage to Frederick Holmes on Nov. 29, 1893. Seven sons were born to this union. Mr. Holmes passed away in 1927.
She had been a resident of the Friendship Rest Home for about 3 years.
On Dec. 6, 1941, she married Julian Mullinex, Wisconsin Rapids. Two sons, Jessie and Robert, her husband and two step sons, Edgar Holmes and Rollin Mullinex, preceded her in death.
Left to mourn are five sons, Vernest, Nekoosa, Ernest and Alvin, Hancock, Frank, Winneconne, and Clifford of Rockford, Ill., two step sons, Roy and Vernie Mullinex, of Wild Rose; one sister Mrs. Lizze Hamilton, Coloma, 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.
