From there she attended and graded from Kingsley Community High School. She graduated in 1938.From there she moved with the family to the Quimby area where she met and married Dale "Dusty" Wright. Dusty was born May 15, 1903.

Dusty and Ann were farmers and raised mink and were parents of 9 children. Gary Joseph born Oct. 3, 1939. Nancy Ann born Sept. 29, 1947. Lastly Theresa"Terri" Genelle (Wright)Chester born June 25, 1960.

Ann became a widow early in her life. She lost her husband Dale"Dusty" Feb.2nd, 1966. After his passing she moved away from the farm and moved into the home that Dusty built for himself and his parents.

She found herself in a new environment raising 8 children alone. (Gary the oldest was married.)She found herself now having to go to work outside of the home. She did what she knew and that was to cook and bake. She was an excellent cook and baker. She worked for two of her brothers who owned their own business. First for her brother Ed who was the owner of the Kum Back Cafe and also for her brother Bill, owner of King's Tap. A bar and resturant.

Ann was known for being a wonderful cook and baker. If you ever left her home hungry it was your own fault. She prided herself on her pies and homemade bread. People would call her and ask her to set aside her bread and pies even before she got them to the bake sale. Her family always kidded her about having the "best buns in Cherokee County."

She was a devoted Mother and gave her life for her kids. She taught us that the most important things in life was God and family and with out them you had nothing.
