Henry Lansley was born in Totford Hampshire in April 1883. he was the son of Henry Lansley and Fanny nee Burden. He was baptized at Northington Church Hampshire on 13 May 1883. He married Hannah Eliza Allen at Dartford registry Office on 2 December 1916. Between 1917-1919 He was a Sapper in the Royal Engineers. Records show that he was discharged from the Army on 23 January 1919 as medically unfit. He also worked as a navvy on the London underground. Hannah died in Dartford in 1920. On 15 April 1922 he married his 2nd wife Laura Anderson at Dartford Registry Office. Henry was living at 29 Douglas Road, Welling. Laura was a widow named Laura Norcott, Living at 120 Teviot Road Welling. She was the daughter of William Anderson (deceased), a Chair Maker. Witnesses were: Irene Norcott & Elsie Holland. Laura Lansley died on 13 February 1932.


Henry returned to Hampshire and lived in Wales Street Winchester. During illness in later life he was residing at 45 junction Road, Andover, probably the Old Workhouse where he died on 25 October 1960. His death was registered by his brother Charles who was living at Pigeon House Farm Sutton Scotney, near Wonston Hampshire. Henry was buried at Wonston Churchyard on 31 October 1960. He was 79 years old. He is buried in the same plot as his brother Charles Lansley and Sister In Law Helena Lansley.
