Arvin Halbach, age 84 of Chilton died on Wednesday October 4, 2006 at his home.
He was born June 17, 1922 in Mt. Calvary son of the late Bill & Hilda (Buechel)Halbach.
Arvin married Dorothy Salm on July 10, 1945 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton.
He served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII as a B-17 Gunner. His crew was shot down over Germany on January 17, 1944 and was taken as a POW before being released on May 5, 1944. Arvin was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the Chilton American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus.
Arvin was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Kenny, Jim, Emil, & Bill Jr.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday October 10, 2006 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Loren Nys officiating. Entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum.
