MALONE—Daniel Mahoney, died on Sunday (7/12/1981) in Malone.

He was born June 8, 1892 in Norfolk, the son of the late John and Belle (Nettles) Mahoney. He attended local schools and graduated from Norwood High School and Central City Business Institute. He served in Europe during World War I with the Army.

He married Helen Parr in 1916. She died in 1967. On June 22, 1972, he married Helen Flynn McCaffrey in Albany.

He was a member of the Disabled Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Joseph's Church in Malone.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons by a former marriage, Maurice, Marathon, Fla. and Charles, West Leyden; a sister, Mrs. Mary Cunningham of Dekalb Junction; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Mark, John, Patrick and James Mahoney Sr. and a sister, Mrs. James (Kathleen) Regan.
