John J. Mahoney, 75, died on Sunday (12/16/1973) in Potsdam of an apparent heart attack.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1898, in North Stockholm, son of John and Belle Nettles Mahoney. He was educated in local schools, was a farmer for a short time, and has been in the real estate business in Potsdam for the past 50 years.
He married Katherine Agnes O'Connor in Utica in September, 1933. She died in 1967.
He was survived by two brothers, Daniel, Malone, and James, Knapps Station; a sister, Mrs. Mary Cunningham, DeKalb; nieces and nephews.
