William F. Kapitz, 81, 1519 25th St., Two Rivers, a retired Mirro Aluminum Co. foreman, local musician and composer, died Wednesday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital where he was a patient for six weeks.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 Friday morning at the Deja-Martin funeral chapels. The Rev. James Stamborski will celebrate the requiem mass at 10 o'clock Friday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Kapitz was born December 21, 1889, in Manitowoc, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Kapitz. He was educated at St. Boniface School. Mr. Kapitz was an active member of the Two Rivers Municipal Band, formerly the Hamilton Band, was active in organizing the Sons of the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps in the 1930s. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are three step-daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Seidl of Manitowoc, Mrs. Lorrain McCarthy of Fremont, Calif., and Mrs. Elaine Lintereur of Two Rivers.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels from 4 to 9 o'clock Thursday evening. The Rosary will be recited there at 8 o'clock Thursday evening.

Kapitz, 81, of 1519-25th St., Two Rivers, former longtime drummer with the old Gloe-Naidl orchestra and a member of the former Hamilton Band, who died Wednesday morning at Two Rivers Hospital, will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev. James Stamborski officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Besides his wife, the former Theresa Becker, whom he married at Manitowoc Oct. 28, 1939, he leaves three stepdaughters, Mrs. Kathryn Seidl of Manitowoc, Mrs. Lorrain McCarthy of Fremont, Calif., and Mrs. Elaine Lintereur of Two Rivers, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral chapels from 4 o'clock this Thursday afternoon at 9 o'clock this Thursday evening where memorial services will be at 8 o'clock.

Memorial services will be conducted by Eleven Gold Star Post 1248, Veterans of Foreign Wars, at 7 o'clock this Thursday evening.

LOCAL MUSICIAN WEDS

Manitowoc –
One of the prettiest weddings of the holiday season was that of Miss Gesine Bull, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bull, who became the bride of William Kapitz of Two Rivers at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Miss Esther Bull, a sister of the bride was maid of honor and Melvin Kitzerow was best man. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents, 1223 South Sixteenth Street by Rev. Karl Machmiller.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to the immediate families of the principals after which Mr. and Mrs. Kapitz left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee and Chicago to be gone for about a week. They will return to make their home with the parents of the bride for the present and will later reside at Two Rivers where Mr. Kapitz is employed as foreman at Aluminum Goods Plant 1.

Mr. Kapitz is also a member of the Aluminum Goods Marine Band of this city and trap drummer in the Rivoli orchestra at Two Rivers. Miss Bull has been a telephone operator at the Wisconsin Telephone company for several years.
