Mr. Walter W. Kapitz, 74, of 1319 Irving Circle, Manitowoc, died Friday, May 18, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Leon J. Schmitt and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kapitz was born Sept. 9, 1909, at Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Martha Muchowski Kapitz. Mr. Kapitz was a lifelong Manitowoc resident and had been employed by the Northwestern Asbestos and Installation Company of Manitowoc and also by Sprinkman Sons Incorporation of Milwaukee. Mr. Kapitz was a member of Asbestos Workers Union Local 127.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Matt, George, William and Joseph Kapitz and two sisters, Lillian Schroeder and Agnes Hauschulz.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, where a prayer service will be 7 p.m. by Deacon Donald Gigure.
