Wilbur T. "Willie" Mitchell of East Orange, NJ, peacefully passed away on Feb. 25, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Imani Baptist Church, 113 Elmwood Ave., East Orange, with visitation at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until time of services. Interment is in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, NJ. Arrangements by Woody "Home For Services," Orange, NJ.

A longtime East Orange, NJ, resident, Mr. Mitchell worked for Ford Motor Company for 22 years before his retirement in 1981. Prior to that he owned and operated Mitchell's Transfer Service.

He was the husband of the late Annie L.; devoted father of Gwendolyn Best, Thomasina L. Smith (Bruce), Arnita L. Walker (David) and Willie J. Mitchell; beloved brother of Ealine Feagin, Cecelia Dunham, Simon and Melvin Mitchell. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
