The daughter of the late James C. and Cora L. (Staggs) Mitchell, Cecelia was born in Newark, NJ, her parents later moved to Trumansburg, NY.
She lived in Ithaca, NY and then moved back to Trumansburg. Cecelia worked at the Pocket Book Factory and then later at Ithaca Dental Laboratory.
She was a member of Oasis Christian Fellowship. She was appreciated and loved by her family, church, neighbors, and friends.
Cecelia is survived by three children, Wanda Young of Trumansburg, Tonya Dockery of Dunn, NC, and Stephen Dunham of Ithaca NY. She is also survived by a sister, Elaine Feagin of Ithaca, NY and a brother-in-law, Milton Dunham of Minneapolis, MN.
Cecelia is also survived by four grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Cecelia is predeceased by her husband Francis C. Dunham as well as five sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be Saturday September 10, 2022 from 2pm-3pm at Oasis Christian Fellowship, 808 South Meadow Street, Ithaca, NY, followed by a 3pm service with Pastor Csiko Sawyer. Burial to follow at Frear Memorial Park in Ithaca, NY.
