Cora Lee Mitchell, 104, of 602 Hudson Street, died at Oak Hill Manor.

Born June 18, 1890 in Isles of White [sic] County, Virginia, she was a daughter of Wallace and Julie English Staggs. She lived in Virginia, Michigan and New Jersey. Ten years ago she moved to Ithaca to be near family.

She is survived by three daughters, Anna Thomas, Ithaca, Cecelia (Francis) Dunham of Trumansburg and Elaine Lester) Feagin of Ithaca; four sons, Willie (Annie Lou) and Simon (Beatrice) Mitchell of East Orange, New Jersey, Lewis (Lillian) Mitchell of Berwick, Maine and Melvin (MariLou) Mitchell of Dryden; son-in-law Arland Newman of Ithaca; twenty-nine grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins; two brothers-in-law, David and Casper Mitchell of East Orange, New Jersey.

Funeral services will be held in the Herson Funeral Home. The Rev. Cisiko Sawyer and Elder Jerome Reeves will officiate. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery will take place in the Spring.
