He retired from Sparrows Point Shipyard in 1981. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel for thirty-seven years and was a supervisor of the Ship Fitting Department.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy Jane Breidenbaugh in 1982. He is survived by on daughter, Barbara Ann Moon, of Baltimore, MD; two grandsons Thomas Moon, Jr. and William Moon; two great grandsons, and five brothers, Paul and Randolph Brooks, Both of Beckley, WV, Shelburn Brooks of Saulsville, WV., Rev. William Brooks of Mullens, WV., and Holroyd Brooks of Atlanta, Ga.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: French, Raymond, Bert, and Homer Brooks.
Thomas was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and a Mason and a Shriner.
The sermon was officiated by Rev. Darcy R Hunt and The Eulogy was given by Rev. William J. Brooks.
Interment: Highview Memorial Gargens Fallston, Maryland.
