Early Life: Norma Edwards Brady was born as the New Year bells rang on December 31, 1926, to Philo Taylor Edwards and Addie May Gurr Edwards, the sixth of fourteen children. She grew up in Orem, Utah, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1945.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: She met the love of her life, Archie Loren Brady, just as he came home from World War II in 1945. They were married in December in the Salt Lake Temple and have been together for nearly 72 years. They had eight children: Archie Larry (deceased), Norma Jean Anderson (Richard), Karen Zitzmann (Kurt), LeAnn Preece (Dan), Loren Pat Brady (Susan), Taylor Edwards Brady (Janell), Boyd Lester Brady (Sandy) and Lori Ann Pallas (Chris). They also have 37 grandchildren and 89 great-grandchildren, their posterity is 175. Norma's life was not always easy but she was always pleasant and cheerful. She was always so grateful for and loved ALL her family very much. She was a favorite aunt, grandmother, sister and friend. Norma worked in the Women's Issue Room at Brigham Young University for over 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was always an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her favorite calling was being a visiting teacher, she was so accepting and loving of people. Loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Norma Edwards Brady, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, October 29, 2017. She was 90 years old.
Survived By: Her husband, Archie; seven children; siblings: Ruby Cameron, Alene Felix, Lewis Edwards, Wayne Edwards, Colleen Healey and Shirley Maag.
Preceded In Death By: Their young son, Larry; her mother and father; brothers and sisters: Don Edwards, Max Edwards, Melba Carter, LaMar Edwards, LaVell Edwards, Ray Edwards and Janice Warnick.
