Philo T. Edwards, 90, father of BYU football coach LaVell Edwards, passed away Thursday morning at 3:35 at the home of his daughter, Melba Carter, of causes incident to age. LaVell Edwards' mother, Addie, passed away earlier this year (Nov. 30). Philo is survived by 13 of his 14 children.

The viewing will be Saturday at the Edgemont 19th Ward in Provo from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by the funeral.
