Max Robert Edwards, 73, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away June 1, 1995 due to heart failure.
He was bom Sept. 19, 1921 in Provo to Philo T. and Addie Mae Edwards.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in Orem. He enjoyed BYU football games, fishing, camping and farming. His life was centered around the gospel and his family.
He married Renee Bliss of Orem on Oct 9, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was employed by Broderick and Howell Construction Company for many years.
After retiring he and his wife served an LDS mission to the Philippine Quezon City West Mission from 1989 to 1991. He was a devoted member of the LDS Church serving in several assignments including bishopric, stake High Council, High Priest group leader and a very faithful home teacher.
Max is survived by his wife, Renee, of Lindon; seven children: Annette (Frank) Mills and Rhonda (Tom) Paul, both of Pleasant Grove; Lamont (Edna) Edwards, Lindon; Kevin (Jill) Edwards, American Fork; Bryan (Pennie) Edwards, Kenneth (Connie) Edwards, Jay (Cherise) Edwards, Redding, Calif.; 31 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six sisters and six brothers: Ruby (Don) Cameron, Orem; Don (Mary) Edwards, Kaysville; Melba E. Carter, Orem; LaMar (Shirley) Edwards, Manila; Norma (Archie) Brady, Vineyard; Alene (Joe) Felix, Croatia LDS Mission; La Vell (Patti) Edwards, Provo; Lewis (Dorothy) Edwards, Mesa, Ariz. Wayne (Margene) Edwards, Hurricane; Colleen (Bob) Healey, Orem; Shirley (Eugene) Maag, Lindon; Ray (LaDeane) Edwards, Provo.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shauna; his parents, and a sister, Janice Warnick.
Services were held June 67 in the Lindon 8th Ward. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary.
