Heart Trouble Takes Mrs. J. C. Pederson
Relatives in the city received announcement Monday evening of the death of Mrs. J. C. Pederson, for many years a resident of this city, which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otis O. Ash, at Moberly, Mo., after a three months illness. Death resulted from heart trouble and complications, incidental to advance age. The body will be brought to Grand Island for burial, brief funeral services to be held at the home of her niece, Mrs. Wm. J. Kelso, 219 East Second street, at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Glen Rice, pastor of the First Presbyterian church will officiate.

Mrs. Pederson, formerly Miss Jennie Morgan, was born in Pittsburg, Pa., July 2, 1858. At an early age she moved with the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Morgan, to Grand Island. for the past four years she has resided with a daughter, at Moberly, Mo. She was united in marriage with J. C. Pederson, of this city, to which union four children were born, three of whom survive her.

She has been a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian church of this city, and was also a member of Andrew chapter No. 41, Order of the Eastern Star, having at one time served as its worthy matron.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Samuel R. Brown, of Darby, Mont.; Mrs. Otis O. Ash, of Moberly, Mo.; and Mrs. Walter Sullivan, of Orange, N. J., as also several grandchildren, one sister and seven brothers.
