Death of Mrs. Oscar Wells
Despite the fact that, after her long illness, the announcement of the death of Mrs. Oscar Wells was not entirely unlooked for, the many friends of the family were grieved to read the brief statement of her passing away in last evening's issue.
Mrs. Wells, formerly Miss Mary L. Morgan, was born in Ft. Catherine, Mo., February 16, 1859. When ten years of age she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Morgan, to Grand Island. She was united in marriage to Mr. Oscar Wells, September 30, 1881. There were born to this union four children, one of whom, Mrs. William Kelso, survives her. She united with the Presbyterian church when eighteen years of age and has been a faithful member ever since. She was also a member of the Andrew Chapter, No. 41, Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Wells had been in failing health for five years and has been seriously ill for two years.
She leaves to mourn her loss, besides the husband and daughter, two sisters and eight brothers all of whom, with the exception of two brothers, will be here to attend the funeral which takes place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home. The relatives present from a distance are: Mrs. J. C. Pederson, Decatur, Ill.; H. N. Morgan, Clarion, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. George Morgan, St. Joseph, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Morgan, Moberly, Mo.; Mr. R. N. Morgan, Alma, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Morgan, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Morgan, of Kimball, Neb.; and Dr. and Mrs. C. Y. Beard, of Cheyenne.
