Rites for George Morgan Sunday

Relatives here received word today of the death of George Morgan, a resident of this city many years ago, which occurred Thursday, at his home in St. Joseph, Mo., following a serious illness of three weeks' duration. Mr. Morgan, 70 years of age, had suffered a relapse some time following a severe operation. He was born at St. Catherine, Mo., June 5, 1863.

Surviving besides his wife, Mrs. Corabelle Morgan, are three children by a previous marriage, Mrs. Morris Fremming, Marion Morgan and Arthur Morgan, all residing at Omaha; also two grandchildren.

Mr. Morgan, during his residence in this city, was in the employ of the Union Pacific Railroad company as a conductor and was retired early this year. HE was a member of Ashlar lodge, A.F. and A.M., No. 33 and the Presbyterian church. The body will arrive in this city, early Sunday, for burial in the family plot in Grand Island cemetery.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, at the home of his niece, Mrs. William Kelso, 219 East Second street, with Rev. Glen Rice, of the Presbyterian church, officiating.

The Masonic order will be in charge of the rites at the grave.
