Mrs. Elizabeth Boston, née Knack, was born May 17, 1834, in Germany.

In 1854 she married Henry Boston and came to America to live and win a home. Eleven children, 6 sons and 5 daughters, were born to them, and all are living.

Since 1867 she has lived in Woodford County, and about three years ago moved to Minonk where she had a very pleasant, comfortable home. For thirty years Mrs. Boston has been an invalid, and her sufferings at times were terrible from liver complaint. During the past few weeks she suffered incessant pain, and death came to her relief Friday, August 29.

The deceased leaves, besides husband and children, twenty-four grandchildren, one stepbrother, one stepsister.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 1 at two o'clock from the German Evangelistic Church Rev. Manertz. The funeral was a large one, and the long line of carriages filled with friends attested to the popularity of the deceased.

Mrs. Boston was a member of the St. Paul Women's Society, and was an earnest, devout Christian woman, her faith in The Lord never wavering during all her long years of suffering.

The pall bearers were Wm. Meyers, Peter Knapp, Richard Spires, Jacob Stimpert, Jacob Gerdes and August Hindert.
