Mrs. Anna Rapp, widow of the late John Rapp, died at the family home in Pontiac at 12:30 A.M. Sunday. Death was due to pneumonia and followed an illness of 10 days.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. from the First United Lutheran Church at Pontiac. The Rev. F. L. Schreckenberg, pastor, conducted the services. Burial was in Livingston County Memorial Park.

Mrs. Rapp, née Anna Boston, was born at Bloomington (McLean County, Illinois), March 29, 1856, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Boston.

She was married to John Rapp at Minonk on March 1, 1881. They established their home on a farm near Flanagan. Thirty-eight years ago they moved to their home just west of Pontiac. Mr. Rapp died on 2 February 1921*.

Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Elizabeth Weber, Mrs. Mary Holzhauer, Edward Rapp, George Rapp, Fred Rapp, William Rapp and Henry Rapp. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers; Mrs. Amelia Spires of Minonk, Edward Boston and Henry Boston of El Paso, IL; Otto Boston of Minonk, and Lena Boston of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Otto in 1934 and Louis in 1939, and three children in infancy, besides two sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Rapp was a member of the First United Lutheran Church of Pontiac, having been confirmed on March 21, 18_5 at Minonk.

Children of Heinrich and Elizabeth: Anna Mae, Ida, Louis, Otto, Amelia, Bertha, John, Frederick, Edward, Henry and Lena.

She married John Rapp, son of immigrants, Jacob and Catharina (Swartz) Rapp on January 1, 1881 in Flanagan, Illinois. They established their home near Flanagan, and in 1902 they moved to their home just west of Pontiac, IL where they lived until their deaths.

John and Anna M. Boston Rapp were the parents of Louis Christian Rapp, Edward Rapp, Otto Carl Rapp, George Henry Rapp, Elizabeth Caroline Rapp Weber, Mary Magdalena Rapp Holzhauer, Frederick William Rapp, William Daniel Rapp, and Henry Rapp. According to the 1900 U.S. Federal Census, Anna had 11 children (that was before Henry was born in 1900), so three other children died as infants.

Anna's brother, John Boston, married Elizabeth Rapp who was already her sister-in-law, her husband John Rapp's half-sister.
