Henry J. Rapp, 73, Pontiac Route 3, died at 1:45 am today at St. James Hospital in Pontiac, Illinois. He had been in failing health two years and seriously ill four weeks. Mr. Rapp was born August 18, 1900 in Flanagan, Livingston County, Illinois, a son of John and Anna (Boston) Rapp.

He attended school in Pontiac and farmed until he retired in 1961.

He was married to Katie Theesfeld at Crescent City, February 15, 1928.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Eugene, Pontiac; a sister, Mrs. Mary Holzhauer, Joliet; a brother, William Rapp, Pontiac, and two grandchildren.

Five brothers, also two infant brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

His funeral was on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Raleigh J. Harris Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kenneth Dobson of the First United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends called Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Presbyterian Church.
