FLANAGAN - Louis C. Rapp, 57, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday at the Mennonite hospital, Bloomington. He had been ill for the last 18 months.

Mr. Rapp was born Jan. 25, 1882, near Flanagan, son of John and Anna Rapp. He attended rural schools in that vicinity. He lived near Flanagan all his life and engaged in farming.

He married Miss Bessie Stepp, of Cornell, at Pontiac Oct. 20, 1915.

Surviving are his wife; three sons: Lloyd, Glenn and Edmund, all at home; three daughters: the Misses Dorothy, Lucille and Bernice, also at home; his mother, Mrs. John Rapp, Pontiac; five brothers: Edward, Fred, William and Henry, all of Pontiac, and George, Paton, Ia., and two sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Weber, Pontiac, and Mrs. Mary Holzhauer, Dwight.

His father died in 1935.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the home and at 1:30 p.m. at Windtown Lutheran church. The Rev. E.V. Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in Windtown cemetery.

Louis was the eldest son of John and Anna Mae Boston Rapp.

He was the brother of Edward, George, Henry, Fred, William, and Otto Rapp, Elizabeth Rapp Weber and Mary Rapp Holzhauer; two brothers and a sister who died in infancy.

He married Bessie Mae Stepp, of Cornell, in Pontiac, Illinois on October 20, 1915.

Their children are: Lloyd Louis Rapp (Helen Bessie Bermes); Dorothy Mae (Freddie L. Franzen); Glenn LeRoy Rapp; Edmund Eugene Rapp (Mildred Lucille Hallam); Ruth Lucille (Albert George Roy); Bernice Louise Rapp.
