PONTIAC – Edward Rapp, 73, of 827 N. Hazel St. died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Hospital. He had been ill eight months and seriously ill five months.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Raleigh J. Harris Funeral Home, with the Rev. R. G. Magel officiating. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rapp was born Feb. 16, 1883 near Flanagan, a son of John and Anna Boston Rapp. He came to Pontiac in 1900.
He married Bertha Heisner on October 22, 1907, in Pontiac.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Ronald, Pontiac; a sister Mrs. Mary Holzhauer, California; three brothers: Fred, William and Henry, Pontiac; a grandson and a great granddaughter.
Two sons, three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
He retired from farming eleven years ago. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
