Elizabeth Caroline (Rapp) Weber was born Friday, December 2, 1892 near Flanagan, Illinois, a daughter of John and Anna (Boston) Rapp.

She was baptized on Friday, December 30, 1892 at St. Petri (Windtown) Church near Flanagan.

Elizabeth was married on Wednesday, February 5, 1913, at Pontiac to Simon Weber, and they had always lived near Pontiac.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Pontiac.

Mrs. Weber had been in failing health for the past three months. She had a cerebral hemorrhage, hypertension and chronic intestinal nephritis.

Elizabeth Weber, 52, of near Pontiac, died at her home at 6:30 o'clock Saturday morning, April 21, 1945.

Surviving are her husband and several children: Corporal Melvin, in service at Dayton, Ohio; Orville, Ernest, Evelyn, Vernon, Maria, and Mildred, all of Pontiac; a grandson, and the following brothers and sisters: George Rapp of Paton, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Holzhauer of Elgin; Edward, Henry, Fred and William Rapp, all of Pontiac.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Louis and Otto; two brothers (Johann and Carl) and one unnamed sister in infancy.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon, April 23, 1945, from the Lutheran church, with the Rev. O. H. Boening officiating. Interment was in Rooks Creek Cemetery.

Elizabeth was the granddaughter of Jacob and Catherina (Swartz) Rapp, Heinrich and Elizabeth (Knack) Boston.

She was the middle of three daughters of John Rapp and Anna Mae (Boston) Rapp.

She was the sister of Louis Rapp, Edward Rapp, Otto Rapp, George Rapp, Baby Girl Rapp, Johann Rapp, Carl Rapp, Mary Rapp Holzhauer, Fred Rapp, William (Bill) Rapp, and Henry Rapp.

She married Simon Weber on February 5, 1913 at Pontiac and became the mother of Orville Weber, Ernest Weber, Evelyn Weber Wilson, Melvin Weber, Vernon Weber, Marie Weber Quigley, and Mildred Weber Stangland.

She died at age 52, just six months before her husband, leaving seven children, ages 18-32.
