Mr. Boston was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Boston, and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in St. Paul Lutheran church of Minonk on April 10, 1879.
He was united in marriage to Anna Sering on March 13, 1885. They resided on a farm north of Flanagan and moved to town five years ago, when they placed their membership in the Christian church.
His wife preceded him in death Feb. 15, 1932.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Louis Kindelberger, Flanagan; Mrs. Henry Bernds, Maroa; Mrs. Sevart Laursen, Elsie, Mich.; Mrs. Lena Redenius, Minonk, and one son, Henry Boston, Flanagan. He is also survived by four brothers, three sisters and five grandchildren.
Services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Christian Church preceded by a brief service at the late home of the deceased, Rev. Claude E. Adams, who gave a very thoughtful sermon, based on the first several verses of John 14.
The singers: Miss Ruth Broad, Mrs. E. J. Gable, C. A. Ririe and E. T. Litchfield, sang the beautiful hymns: "Nearer My God to Thee", "Sweet By and By" and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again", with Mrs. Paul. C. Hahn at the piano.
