Edith E. Gassert, 94, of Lebanon, PA, died Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Cedar Haven Healthcare Center, Lebanon.

She was the wife of Ralph G. Gassert, who died February 9, 2016.

Born in Jackson Twp., PA on September 30, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Alice Y. (Gettle) Mays.

Edith was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church, Lebanon, and Christ Community Church, Myerstown. She worked as a presser at Publix Shirt Co., Myerstown, for 15 years; Bayer Corp., Myerstown, for 13 years; and Lebanon Gasket Co. for 10 years, until her retirement.

Edith is survived by a daughter-in-law, Eva Knoche, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jeremy G., husband of Andrea Gassert, Larissa Knoche, Megan, wife of Adam Longmore; great-grandchildren, Aurora J. Gassert, Kinsley M. Hansen, Adelyn Longmore, Chase Tiffany, Sean Price; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Fred G. Gassert; nine brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 12 p.m. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Myerstown.
