LEBANON - Jacob I. Mays, 76, of Lebanon RD 6 died Tuesday in Good Samaritan Hospital. He had worked as a farmer and for Burns Security at Sterling Drugs in Myerstown; was a member of the Red Rose Horse and Pony Club; and active with parade and pulling horses. Surviving are his wife, Edna M. Sweitzer Mays; two sons, Jacob I. Jr. of Myerstown, and Robert L. of Lebanon; three daughters, Betty Jane Snyder of Lebanon, Marie Rank of Myerstown, and Ruth Ann Rabold of Schaefferstown; four brothers, Charles of Lebanon, Aaron of Rehrersburg, John of Mount Aetna, and Ray of Myerstown RD; three sisters, Margaret Smith and Dora Long, both of Myerstown, and Edith Gassert of Lebanon; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Rohland Funeral Home. Burial will be in Schaefferstown Cemetery. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
