Oville Specht 83, 504 Orchard Drive; died Tuesday, May 4, at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Estel-Perrin- Avey Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Boatmen will offifiate. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
He was born July 4, 1909 in Marshall County to Joseph H. Specht and Louisa (Coulter) Specht. He recived his education in Conrad, graduating from Conrad High School in 1928. He married Anna Medhus Oct. 19, 1932, in Marshalltown. He was a farmer and lived in Dunbar and Conrad before retiring in 1965 and moving to Marshalltown, He raised Clydesdale and Standard bred horses.
He was a member of the Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; three daughters, Marjorie (Mrs. (Richard) Ferneau and Alice (Mrs. Donald) Goodman, both of rual Marshalltown, Louise (Mrs.Jack) Grove, Ft. Collins, Colo; two sons, Donald Specht, Brush Colo., and Joseph Specht, Marshalltown; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, six brothers, one grandson, and one great- grandson.
