She lived in Auburn for 55 years and was employed as a bookkeeper at the former Hayden Meat Market on Pleasant St in Worcester. Hattie was well known for her kindness and for sending funny greeting cards to family members. She died of cancer on October 23, 1973 and is buried with her Aunt Louise and Uncle Dan Lammoureux who raised her after her mother's death.
