THERESIA LOOS

St. Nazianz – Message received her announced the death of Mrs. Matthew Loos Sr., of Aniwa, a sister of Mrs. Phillip Koenig. Mr. and Mrs. Koenig departed for Aniwa and accompanied the remains here for burial.

St Nazianz – As was briefly mentioned in last week’s correspondence, Mrs. Math. Loos Sr. died at the home of her son, Frank at Aniwa, October 25th, of heart failure.
Theresa Moerchen was born in New York, Nov. 6, 1865, and was married to Math. Loos in 1878. The couple have been residents of this village for many years, where they have a large number of friends, who regret Mrs. Loos’s sudden death.

She is survived by her husband and ten children, as follows; Mrs. Peter Smasal, Mrs. Jos. Baumgartner and Mrs. George Loessl of this village, Mrs. Tom McCarty of New Holstein and Mrs. John Mertz of Chilton, Math Jr. and Frank of Aniwa, Conrad of Greenwood, Herman of Valders and Albert of Sheboygan. Also one sister, Mrs. Ph. Koenig, and 25 grandchildren.

Mrs. Loos was a member of the Christian Mothers Sodality of St. Gregory’s church. The funeral services were held at the church last Friday morning. Rev. Deibele officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. All the children attended the funeral, as well as many people from outside.
