Romilda "Millie" A. Muellenbach, age 82, formerly of 918 Second St., Kiel, died Friday afternoon, May 4, 2001, at the Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein, where she had resided for the past three years.
The former Romilda Arenz, she was born April 22, 1919, in the town of Stockbridge, daughter of the late Arthur and Clara Schommer Arenz. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School in Jericho.
On May 20, 1941, she married Everett J. Muellenbach at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. He died Sept. 29, 1996. Millie was the head cook at the Kiel High School for 17 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel, the Christian Mothers, Kiel Senior Citizens and various card clubs. For many years Millie was a cake decorator for various occasions.
Survivors include one son, Gary Muellenbach of Madison; one sister, Marie (Clarence) Heimann of Kiel; one brother, Ervin (Betty) Arenz of Chilton; one brother-in-law, Jerome Muellenbach of rural New Holstein; two sisters-in-law, Florence Arenz of Chilton and June Arenz of Kiel. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sylvester, Gilbert and Clem Arenz.
Funeral Mass will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel with the Rev. Loren Nys, SDS, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
