He was born January 16, 1915, in the town of Brothertown, son of the late Art and Clara Schommer Arenz. On Nov. 7, 1939, he married Merla Holst at Chilton. Mr. Arenz had been employed by Chilton Metal Products for 20 years. He retired in 1979. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton and the Chilton Eagles 1288.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Gerald of Chilton; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Heimann and Mrs. Romilda Mullenbach, both of Kiel; and two brothers, Ervin and Sylvester, both of Chilton. One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton. The Rev. Paul Brick, pastor, was celebrant. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
