Arthur M. Arenz, 74, of Kiel, died at St. Nicholas Hospital Thursday following very brief illness. He was born in the Town of Brothertown Sept. 1, 1884, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Arenz. On Oct. 24, 1911, he was married to Clara Schommer at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Kloten, by the late Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Huhn. The couple settled on a farm in the Town of Stockbridge and operated it for 44 years. In 1955 they retired and moved to Kiel. Mr. Arenz was a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Trinity Church, Jericho.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, Sylvester of Chilton, Gilbert of Hilbert, Clemens of Kiel and Irwin, operated the Arenz homestead farm; two daughters, Mrs. Everett (Romilda) Muellenbach and Mrs. Clarence (Marie) Heimann, both of Kiel; 12 grandchildren; three brothers, Louis of Rogers, Minn., Leo of Hammond, Wis., and Herman of Fond du Lac, and four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Boehnlein of Charlesburg, Mrs. Anton Lenz, Mrs. John Schiller and Mrs. William Freund, all of Fond du Lac. One brother preceded him in death.
