The former Clara Schommer, she was born in Kloten (Town of Stockbrigde), a daughter of the late Mr & Mrs John Sommer. She was married Oct 24, 1911 at St Elizabeth Catholic Church at Kloten to Arthur M. Arenz. The couple operated a farm in Town of Stockbridge for 44 years until 1955 when they retired and moved to Kiel. Her husband died Sept 11, 1958.
Surviving is 4 sons, Ervin on the homestead farm, Sylvester, Chilton, Gilbert, Hilbert and Clemens of Kiel. Two daughters Mrs Everet ( Romilda) Muellenbach and Mrs Clarence (Marie) both of Kiel; three brothers, Jacob of Town of Brotherstown, john of Calumetville, Joseph of Stockbrige,; two sisters Mrs Burton Buck of Milwaukee, Mrs Earl Gerlach of Sheridan, IL and 12 grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death.
