Funeral services for Solon Denton Jared, 57, were held from the Chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home today Monday, November 10, at two p.m. the Rev. Fred Hawkins and the Rev. Clyde Cunningham officiated. Burial was in Smellage Cemetery.
Mr. Jared a resident of Rt. 1, Silver Point, died at Cookeville General Hospital following a heart attack which he suffered Saturday.
He was an employee of the State Highway Department for the past 20 years.
A native of Tennessee, he was the son of Mrs. Delia Whitehead Jared and the late Robert S. Jared.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Sutton Jared; four brothers; Bethel, Julis B. and Sam Jared all of Silver Point and Johnny Jared, Detroit, MI.
