SILVER POINT: Funeral services for Bethel H. Jared, 82, of Silver Point were today, June 13, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial was in Smellage Cemetery.
Mr. Jared died Sunday, June 12, 1988 in Cookeville Health Care Center.
A native of Putnam County, he was born July 16, 1905, and was the son of the late Robert Simon and Dealie Whitehead Jared. He was a retired farmer.
His family includes his wife, Artie Carr Jared of Silver Point; one daughter, Beth Bilbrey of Cookeville; one son, John Robert Jared of Knoxville; three brothers, Julius and Johnnie Jared, both of Baxter, and Sam Jared of Silver Point, and four grandchildren.
