BAXTER –Funeral services for Julius Benton Jared, 87, of Baxter will be held Sunday, January 21, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Boma Cemetery.
Mr. Jared died today, January 19, 1996, in Cookeville General Hospital.
A native of Putnam County, he was born March 29, 1908, to the late Robert Simon "Bob" and Delia Whitehead Jared. He was a farmer and served as a deacon for several years in the Baptist faith.
His family includes his wife, Bettie Ford Jared of Baxter; one son and daughterinlaw, Ralph Edward and Sue Jared of Baxter; one daughter and soninlaw, Mildred and Ernest Pippin of Nashville; six grandchildren, Gary Jared, Michelle Starbuck, Sharron Harris, Scott Jared, Beth Carter, and David Shirley; and 10 greatgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five brothers, Ethel, Bethel, Johnny, Solon, and Sam Jared.
