Hale, John Franklin, 90, passed away September 12, 2009 at St. Ann's Home in Oklahoma City. He was born January 27, 1919 in Doniphan, KS. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Minnie A. Wood and Delores F. Fleming, 9 brothers and 6 sisters. He is survived by one sister, Betty Ruth Wood of Kansas City and one sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Hale of Mulvane; his son, John Gary and wife Francina; his stepson, Gary Poland and wife Patricia; 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grand-children; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, in the Chapel of St. Ann's Home in Oklahoma City. Visitation 1-8 p.m., Thursday with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m., funeral service 10 a.m., Friday, both at Senter-Smith Mortuary, 501 SW Louis Blvd, Mulvane.
